Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Ethics of AI platform, creating an account, or making a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the platform.

2. Service Description

Ethics of AI provides AI ethics certification assessments, educational content, and supporting resources. Certification tiers include Awareness and Foundational levels, with assessments covering governance, technical, ethical, compliance, culture, environmental, and economic dimensions of AI use.

3. Purchases and Billing

When you purchase a certification, you are buying access to the selected certification tier for an individual or organisation. All prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) at the point of purchase.

Access to purchased certification content is granted immediately upon successful payment confirmation. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Ethics of AI does not store your card details.

4. Dispute Resolution

If you have a concern about a purchase or the platform, please contact us at hello@ethicsofai.io first. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve your concern promptly.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes that cannot be resolved through negotiation will be submitted to the courts of Victoria.

5. Account Terms

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. Each person may hold only one account. Ethics of AI reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the platform. This includes, but is not limited to: misrepresenting your certification status, attempting to access content you have not purchased, using automated tools to scrape or collect data from the platform, or interfering with the platform's operation.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Ethics of AI platform — including certification frameworks, assessment materials, articles, and educational resources — is owned by Ethics of AI Pty. Ltd. and protected by intellectual property laws. Purchasing a certification grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to access the purchased content. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from platform content without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ethics of AI Pty. Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits guarantees, warranties, or rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The effective date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.
